BIRNS Announces New IPC Certified Trainers

BIRNS, Inc., a global leader in high-performance subsea connectors, custom cable assemblies, and lighting systems, is pleased to announce a new milestone in its commitment to safety, quality, and employee development. The company is proud to announce that two employees, Lilia Aguliar, Quality Supervisor, and Javier Duarte, Production Development Specialist, have completed the rigorous certification process to train and certify others in both IPC J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

J-STD-001 is the globally recognized standard that defines the requirements for producing high-quality soldered electrical and electronic assemblies. The IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard establishes the industry rules for building, inspecting, and testing cable and wire harness assemblies.

Duarte and Aguilar are certified to Class 3 requirements, the industry’s highest performance classification for electronic assemblies. These standards are especially important for products used in severe environments where safety, reliability, and long-term performance are critical.

Becoming an IPC Certified trainer is a rigorous process that requires advanced technical knowledge, demonstrated instructional competency, and successful completion of comprehensive certification examinations. By investing in certified trainers and continuous workforce development, BIRNS reinforces its commitment to excellence in manufacturing, creating reliable products, and maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout production operations.
