MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the BIRNS, Inc. 93033 Scholarship is to find and recognize Ventura County high school seniors in the 93033 area code who are the first in their family to attend college

PURPOSE

The BIRNS 93033 Scholarship provides $500 in funding to students pursuing either a two or four year college degree.

ELIGIBILITY

• Candidates must reside or attend high school in the 93033 zip code
• Candidates must be Ventura County high school seniors (at the time of selection) with records of extracurricular or community service
• Candidates must be enrolled in or applying to a two or four year undergraduate program
• Scholars will be required to provide timely proof of collegiate acceptance
• Winners will be selected by the Scholarship Committee each year, based on merit and answers given on application essay questions

AWARD

• The scholarship provides $500 for college studies
• Winners will be notified by the end of April
