BIRNS is proud to announce a breakthrough in LED nuclear pool lighting with its new BIRNS Lumena-6™. The precision-engineered LED floodlight brings daylight illumination capability to fuel pools and transfer canals with an 85,000 lumen output. The powerful lighting system has an 80,000 hour lamp life, and provides extreme long term use, with minimal maintenance.
This plug-and-play lighting solution offers flexibility and scalability, featuring an integrated onboard water cooled power driver, so a single mains power cable is all that is needed on the surface. It features ultra-high efficiency reflectors, with either spot or flood options, and a choice of polycarbonate, quartz, or tempered glass lens. The unique system includes a rugged stainless steel indexed 6km-rated subsea connector, and is constructed of anodized aluminum and nuclear compatible, all captivated parts. The BIRNS Lumena-6 is compact and rugged, and operates on any input voltage between 90 VAC and 300 VAC. The system provides highly effective and safe lighting to maximize safety and efficiency for critically important large scale fuel operations.
