3G Underwater Connectors Overview

The BIRNS Millennium 3G underwater connectors are extremely versatile, and a popular choice for small size requirements. It is available with 1 to 10 contacts (sizes 22, 20, 16, and 10 AWG).

Like the entire BIRNS Millennium underwater connector series, the 3G is widely used by the US Navy and other military groups across the globe. In fact, the 50Ω coax 3G-C-FR has been assigned NSN 5995-01-567-6003. It’s ideal for subsea GPS-frequency systems, with polyethylene dielectric for superior GPS-frequency signal characteristics.

Ethernet: The 3G-10 configuration with our exclusive cable for Cat 8.2 use provides data transfer rates of up to 9.4+/- 0.1 Gigabits per second at 6km.
