3G Connectors Overview
The BIRNS Millennium 3G underwater connector is an extremely versatile and a popular choice for small size requirements. It is available with 1 to 10 contacts (sizes 22, 20, 16, and 10 AWG).
Like the entire BIRNS Millennium subsea connector product line, the 3G is widely used by the US Navy and other military groups across the globe. In fact, the 50? coax 3G-C-FR has been assigned NSN 5995-01-567-6003. The Millennium 3G is ideal for GPS-frequency systems, with polyethylene dielectric for superior GPS-frequency signal characteristics.
Ethernet: The 3G-10 subsea connector configuration – with our exclusive cable for Cat 8.2 use – provides data transfer rates of up to 9.4+/- 0.1 Gigabits per second at 6km.
